Church checking
Mennonite Financial has two types of checking accounts available for congregations:
Regular checking
Our regular checking account has no monthly fees, unlimited check writing, and requires no minimum balance. We offer automatic overdraft protection from your savings account (limit of three per month). The only cost to your congregation is each order of personalized checks.
Dividend checking
Our dividend checking account also has unlimited check writing with monthly dividends at competitive rates. Average daily balance needs to be above $3,000 or a monthly fee will apply. Automatic overdraft protection from shares (limit of three per month). You pay for each order of personalized checks.
Courtesy pay
Mennonite Financial will also pay for items presented against your congregation’s checking account, even if paying the item causes the account to become overdrawn. However, there are fees associated with this service. Courtesy Pay comes automatically with our checking accounts, but you can opt out of the service if you wish. More information & opt out
Opening a business checking account
To open a Mennonite Financial congregation checking account, either regular or dividend, stop by or call one of our offices. You can also send us an e-mail. We will send you an account change card to sign, which you return to us along with your first deposit into your checking account.
Reordering checks
Beginning in April of 2009, Mennonite Financial has partnered with Deluxe to be our check provider. If you need to refill your checkbook, call or visit your local branch office to place your first order with Deluxe. After your initial order has been placed with Deluxe, check reorders can be made at www.deluxe-check-order.com.
